Here in our section of leather breastplate armor we carry a large variety of chest protective armor. We carry Breastplates, Cuirasses and Brigandines or (coat of plates). The leather Cuirass contains both a breastplate and backplate. A leather breastplate, while lighter, protects only the chest and sides. The leather Brigandine is made from flexible leather with thicker leather plates and is highly flexible and sturdy providing good protection while at the same time great mobility.

Like all our leather armor we offer leather thicknesses of 13-15oz, 8-10oz, and 6-7oz leather. The 13-15oz can be used for SCA heavy weapons fighting while the 8-10oz and 6-7oz leather is suited to LARP events, Stage productions, Renaissance and Medieval fairs.

The majority of our leather armor is hand made here in the USA and many are made to your measurements!
