Fire at Hanwei FactoryWe regret to inform our customers that the Hanwei factory in Dalian, China sustained significant damage in a fire on March 6. The damage was limited to buildings, equipment and parts inventory and no personal injuries were involved. Hanwei is in the process of assessing and repairing the damage.
This may result is product shortages and delays over the next few month, especially with their new items. Currently stock on most Hanwei items is pretty good, but that can start to change quickly as word of this gets out. Hanwei is hoping to have production back up and running as soon as possible, but the effect of this could be felt for several months.
Hanwei is not currently offering volume discounts to dealers as they have in the past. They simply do not have the stock on hand to warrant discounting it in this circumstance. You will find that some Hanwei prices have had to go up a bit. Our cost on Hanwei products has gone up a bit but we are taking on the bulk of the difference and have only had to raise prices marginally. We can not guarantee price matches on Hanwei products at this time. All current orders will be honored at the prices provided when the order was placed.
